Amber teaches our Women’s Self Defense and Thursday night “Little Badgers” classes. She is married to Ramey, another Gracie South instructor. When she is not being a full time mom to their four girls, Amber is a school teacher, who loves helping children reach their potential! Amber started at Gracie South in 2016 after moving from the tiny community of Blackhawk, MS. Amber loves the outdoors. She is an avid deer-hunter and spends her weekends working in her yard. Amber also really enjoys going axe throwing with her Women’s Self Defense group.
Reason for starting Jiu Jitsu: “Ramey and I came in to observe a class because he was OBSESSED with the UFC. I never thought I would be interested, but I really liked the friendly environment and the intelligent approach to combat. I decided to join him for our week free trial and it was so much fun, I was immediately hooked!”
Favorite thing about Gracie South: “I love the family friendly atmosphere. Our little Emory napped in a playpen in the corner when she was only a week old! All of our training partners have been very supportive and really look out for her. It means so much to me that this is a place where my whole family feels welcome and loved!”
