Ramey is married to Amber, our Women's Self Defense instructor, and has four daughters, MeriEvelyn, Mia, Kamryn, and Emory. He started training at Gracie South in 2016 after moving to the Flowood area from the Mississippi Delta. Ramey's motivation was getting in better shape and learning to defend himself and his family. HIs profession is in Sales Management and Business to Business Sales. Outside of Jiu Jitsu, Ramey enjoys teaching Sunday School and working with his church, exercising, reading, and playing board games with his girls. Ramey is passionate about helping others to reach their goals and really enjoys working with new students to discover the value that Jiu Jitsu can bring to their lives.
Favorite Thing About Gracie South: "My favorite thing about Gracie South is the community. We have a great level of competition and train really hard, but the environment is extremely supportive. Even after a hard rolling session, we shake hands, sometimes hug, and leave with a smile. I have friends at Gracie South who I can always count on and they know they can count on me. We all come from different backgrounds but on the mats, we are a family!"
